About Marshall Dane
Using Sign Language to convey his musical message to the Deaf, this son of a preacher and middle brother of 6, Marshall was raised to be a minister.
Now, Marshall Dane is a Canadian Singer-Songwriter-Recording Artist and 5 X Male Artist Of The Year Nominee (CMAO) who writes Country songs that cross genres and bridge the gap between mainstream pop, rock and new country.
Beyond the music, he’s an advanced level-3 Sign Language student and active licensed Drone Pilot, incorporating all of his creative assets into one stunning and exciting passion. Often seen signing in ASL or having an ASL Interpreter beside him, sharing his music inclusively, especially within the Deaf community is an intense focus for Marshall Dane. He has even travelled as far north as Nunavut, CA to communicate with the only Deaf woman in a small community for hundreds of kilometres, for which she was eternally grateful for his love for the language and to share his music within the Deaf community. An extraordinary experience that he was able to document and share with the CBC.
About Breadalbane Inn
One of the finest examples of Scottish architecture in the area, The Breadalbane Inn (bruh-DAHL-bun) was built by George D. Fergusson a son of Adam Fergusson a co-founder of Fergus. What began as a small stone cottage in 1851, the home was expanded using stone construction with expensive imported details and amenities and named “Mapleshade” in 1860.
In 1975, this former residence turned nursing home, was converted into an inn by Philip and Jean Cardinal originally from Ottawa, Ontario and renamed the “Breadalbane Inn.”
The Breadalbane Inn was purchased in 1996 by chef Peter Egger and family. Egger’s culinary prowess soon put its mark on the Maple Shade Dining Room, now Scozia Restaurant and within the Fergusson Room Pub.
The Breadalbane Inn has seven charming suites each beautifully appointed. All have ensuites, many have the added luxury of Jacuzzi tubs and fireplaces. The Carriage House, adjacent to the Inn has four deluxe King suites available to help you celebrate that “Special Occasion”.
