We are excited to be back at the Oaks of St George on Friday, June 14th for our annual Golf Day fore the Brant County SPCA! We welcome golfers back for our tee-time style tournament with contests, prizes, silent auction, a lunch and beverage, carts and more. Register below for our 2024 Golf Day for the Brant County SPCA. Tee times for 18 holes are available from 8:30am to 3:00pm. Tee times are set in 10-minute increments and will be assigned in order of registration. Join us for our 50th rally, celebrating all makes and model of vintage motorcycles! CVMG held the first of the annual rallies at the Welland MCC Grounds with just 37 entries. The annual rally,being very large even then, is coordinated by a committee of volunteers from various CVMG sections, operating under the guidance and supervision of the CVMG National Executive. The rally had a few homes over the first several years such as Welland MCC Grounds, Molson Park(Barrie), Cayuga until 1989  when they found a long-term home with the Paris Agricultural Society, Paris Fairgrounds, in Paris, ON where we enjoy the rally again this year.

Dallas Smith and Russell Dickerson will be headlining the July 5 & 6, 2024 festival, with special guests Randy Houser, The Washboard Union and Hailey Benedict, and more to be announced! Rivers ‘n’ Roots Music Festival, Celebrates Our Agricultural Community. A portion of the proceeds from this event, will be allocated to their new Fund to support agricultural initiatives within their community. The two-day festival will take place at the Paris Fairgrounds with marketplace vendors, food trucks, a beer garden, and lawn games.

Brantford, ON - It takes a special heart to start a fundraising event, and hundreds more to keep it thriving for more than 20 years. On Saturday July 6, the Lansdowne Children’s Centre Foundation will honour a significant milestone for the Charity Motorcycle Ride started by Bob Caissie, going kickstands up! for the 20th annual ride for the kids. The police-escorted motorcycle tour leaves Brantford for a scenic ride through Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk counties, returning to home base for live music and a hot lunch. Brimich Logistics in the Oak Park Rd industrial plaza will host the event for the third consecutive year, with Strodes BBQ & Deli providing lunch, and BarCode The Band providing live music on the Pynx Productions stage. There will also be a pre-ride continental breakfast with coffee and pastry provided by Tim Hortons. The Lansdowne Charity Motorcycle Ride was created by Bob Caissie as a summer compliment to the Great Northern Ride fundraiser, a Northern Ontario snowmobile tour that also raised funds in support of Lansdowne Children’s Centre. Between the two annual fundraisers, Caissie has helped to attract over $1 million dollars in local financial support for resources, programs and services access by children and youth with special needs at Lansdowne Children’s Centre. The 2024 CMR event will also feature a 50/50 draw. Only 2,000 tickets are available, at a price of $10.00 per ticket. The draw is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on July 6. Ticket sales are available online, at Lansdowne, and from participating community partners. Registration is available online at www.lansdownecentre.ca/cmr and fundraisers are already working to raise awareness and attract donations. Donors can choose to give to a fundraiser, a team, or the campaign, using the online payment portal. Donations are also accepted by reception at Lansdowne Children’s Centre, 39 Mount Pleasant Street, Brantford.
