A longtime Canadian news veteran has passed away. Lloyd Robertson's family confirmed to the Canadian Press, The news anchor died last night. The Stratford native got his start in broadcasting in 1952, eventually moving on to CTV. He was named a member of the Order of Canada, the Canadian Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame, and became the first journalist to be inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame. He was 92. A motorcyclist from Oxford County has died after a collision in Tilsonburg. Police say a motorcyclist collided with the rear of an SUV and was thrown off. The rider suffered serious injuries and died in hospital. The fallout for residents continues in St. Catharines and Lincoln with officials now saying about 250 millimeters of rain fell over the past week. Now a state of emergency was declared when back-to-back storms caused severe floodings, overwhelming sewers, roads, homes and businesses. Officials say shoreline erosion and widespread power outages are only making things worse. A warning from Kids Help Phone as mental health concerns appear to spike among Canadian youth.
