The federal Liberals will table their spring economic update April 28th, giving Canadians a look at how the government is handling our money. The update is expected to highlight earlier spending promises, including a boost to the GST benefit and a new plan announced to waive the federal fuel excise tax until Labor Day. And Ontario's labor minister proposing a ban on employers who charge workers for mandatory uniforms. The change targets entry-level sectors like retail and hospitality, where employees have to pay out of pocket. The ban would apply to employer-specific uniforms that cannot reasonably be worn outside the job. Government is also looking at new rules for talent agencies, including commission caps.
