Two drivers have been sent to hospital after a "serious" early morning collision involving two vehicles in Brantford, yesterday morning.
OPP blocked off the east 403 and one westbound lane near Garden Avenue til 4 yesterday afternoon.
Both drivers were sent to Hamilton General Hospital, one driver has life threatening injuries.
 
 
Police are investigating after reports of fraud involving several recreational vehicles in Lakeshore.
OPP say victims reported that they placed their RVs for consignment sale or for storage for the winter at a business, but when they went back for them, they weren’t there.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the fraud to come forward. 
 
Waterloo police have recovered a stolen vehicle loaded with shoes.
On Tuesday morning police were called out for reports of a stolen box truck.
Officers say they found it and tried to pull it over but,  the driver fled from police.
About 20 minutes later it was found abandoned on the side of the road, still full of boots and shoes which investigators believe had previously been stolen.
 
Hamilton police say they’ve arrested a man who allegedly took a city bus on a joyride with passengers still on board.
Police say the man entered a city bus at the McNab bus terminal and drove away with passengers still on board, after the driver had left vehicle for a quick break.
The man apparently drove the bus up the Hamilton Mountain and even made multiple stops along the way to let passengers off and on.
Police say they followed the bus and arrested the 36-year-old suspect.
 
Ontario’s top court says provincially regulated online gaming and sports betting sites could legally allow users to play with – and bet against – people in other countries.
The Court of Appeal for Ontario gave its opinion yesterday, more than a year after the Ontario government asked it to rule on the issue.
Currently, people using Ontario’s online gambling sites must be in the province, and they can’t take part in games or bets involving people outside its borders.
People in other provinces and territories would still be prohibited from using Ontario's online gambling system unless an agreement with those jurisdictions are put in place.


A Leger poll published this week suggests Prime Minister Mark Carney's government secured broad support from across the country for plans in its fall budget to ramp up infrastructure spending and tamp down immigration levels.
Polling done soon after the Liberals tabled the budget last week shows 76% of respondents support a new fund for local infrastructure, with the strong backing coming from Atlantic Canada, Quebec and Alberta.

 
The Carney government's recent budget outlined a plan to lower program spending and administration costs by about 60-billion dollars over five years.
It says the Canada Revenue Agency plans to wind down business units no longer connected to government priorities, like those supporting the now-mothballed Digital Services Tax and Canada Carbon Rebate.
The Canada Border Services Agency plans to reduce the frequency of fleet vehicle replacement, from seven to 10 years. 
 
The longest government shutdown in U-S history is over -- 43 days after it began.
The House passed a spending bill, and the Senate approved it.
The standoff left federal workers unpaid and travellers stranded as airports slowed to a crawl and millions lining for food banks for hours.
