I'm Stacey Anglehart. Well, it's the long weekend. The last weekend of the CNE. Don't forget the air show happens this weekend. So that means school starts on Tuesday. Now Monday is Labor Day, a stat holiday, so not everything is open. If you plan on taking transit possibly to the CNE this weekend, keep in mind on Monday it is a holiday schedule. Major grocery stores, the LCBO, banks, government offices closed. Select beer store locations will be open. And with a final push of back to school shopping, some malls will be open Monday, including Square One, Eaton Center, Vaughan Mills, Linden Park Mall in Brantford will also be open. As the cleanup continues, we're beginning to see the full scope of the severe storm that swept through the GTHA, trapping motorists in waist deep water and tearing apart buildings like they were made out of tin. Roger Stadium looked like it was torn apart after wind swept through. High winds even detached and swung a massive motorized construction scaffolding platform that was way in the sky. Luckily, workers got off safely. Both the Woodbridge and Aurora Sports Domes were flattened. The Ontario center ripped apart. In Brantford, parts of Mohawk part remain cordoned off due to downed branches and debris. Upwards of 26,000 customers still have no power across the GTHA. The Northern Tornadoes Project said the damage appears to have been caused by downbursts. The PCNU Democrats have held on to their seats in three by-elections. And StatsCan is expected to release the latest snapshot of the job market this morning when it publishes its labor force survey for August. Now according to a Reuters poll of economists, employers added about 15,000 jobs in August and the rate is expected to stay the same at 6.4%. Light 92 sports.
