I'm Stacey Englehart. Well, the 2026 Ontario municipal elections happen on Monday. Make sure if you're planning to vote, you bring your ID that shows your name and current address. You can bring your voter ID card to speed up the check-in process, but it is not mandatory. Looks like other police forces across the province are suspending their Crime Stoppers tip line after the so-called confidential crime tip platform was not so confidential. We mentioned yesterday Toronto temporarily stopped accepting tips after a massive data breach. Now it looks like Halton, Hamilton, Wellington, York Region and Peel Police have also stopped. Waterloo Police said they stopped in early July after initially learning of the breach. According to the CBC, 1.5 million tips and Lots of names that were submitted to Crime Stoppers programs over the last 25 years were exposed in the data breach. Canada's military will investigate why a live fire exercise at CFB Wainwright was allowed to continue despite a dangerous grass fire. According to an update yesterday, the grass fire was on the base's grenade range in a permanent danger area. and was so dangerous firefighters couldn't put it out before strong winds fanned the flames that overtook the training troops. And while a Food Banks Canada report painted a disturbing picture on the amount of people using the food bank, apparently a large portion of us need to borrow money to feed our family. According to a new survey from Dalhousie University's Agri-Food Analytics Lab, one in three Canadians are either borrowing funds or dipping into savings to put food on the table. Sports.
