Kacey Musgraves is officially back in album mode.
The eight-time Grammy winner just announced her sixth studio album, Middle of Nowhere, dropping May 1, and she kicked things off with a cheeky new single called 'Dry Spell'
Kacey says the record came together during the longest single stretch of her life after a breakup and instead of rushing into something new, she actually found herself loving the freedom of being on her own. That independent energy shows up all over the album, which blends the Texas sounds she grew up on with a mix of bluegrass, pop and dancehall influences.
The project also features some pretty big collaborations with Willie Nelson, Billy Strings, Gregory Alan Isakov and even a duet with Miranda Lambert.
But if the playful tone of 'Dry Spell' is any indication...this might be Kacey Musgraves at her most carefree yet.
